Hockey Skates

At Hockey Services, we know how important hockey skates are for your game. High-quality, high-performance hockey skates can aid a player’s speed and mobility on the rink, but not everyone needs top-of-the-line hockey skates. The players at Hockey Services can assist you in selecting the right model and brand for your needs and budget.

What should I consider when buying new hockey skates?

There are many things to consider when selecting a new pair of hockey skates, but the three most important things are:
  • Player experience and skill
  • Budget
  • Fit
Beginner skaters may be tempted by top-of-the-line models, but they won’t necessarily gain any benefits from the more expensive models until their skills develop. Highly experienced players or players who compete at a high level, will see gains in mobility and speed by investing in performance model skates. Intermediate players, too, will benefit from middle-of-the-road models, which provide a bit more speed and mobility for a slightly higher price.

Finding the Right Fit

Another important factor in purchasing hockey skates is fit. Different companies will offer models that work better for different types of feet. Finding the right fit can be difficult, especially when ordering online. The players at Hockey Services know the different models of skates in our catalogue, and can help you figure out the best fit for your feet.
